These babies are going out today. It’s a brilliant day to get loads of work done at my plot. I wonder if Mark is going to bring me some dinner?

Today’s visit to the allotment. I love this time of year, everything is growing nicely. Broad beans are well on the way as well as the peas I put in last week. The tomatoes, sunflowers and kale are looking really healthy. Still not certain if the aubergine seedling is actually an aubergine. My leeks are getting bigger and will need planting out soon. I also planted some moe cauliflower and spinach seed.

Lovely afternoon spent on the plot. Planted out a row of peas and another row of broad beans. All the parsnips are out and I’ve sown a row of Autumn King carrots.

Seedlings 2017. Hopefully that’s it for the cold nights now. My little chaps survived the freezing temperatures. I’m very happy that my parsnips germinated and I now have the first lot in the ground. Out of all the aubergine seeds I sowed only one came up to say hi, so I’ll have to take extra care. I’ve got the day off on Sunday and it’s going to be a full allotment day.

A productive sunny day sowing seeds at the plot. I’m using some bright colourful pots to brighten the place up. Here is a list of what I’ve sown today;
Cauliflower
Purple sprouting broccoli
Sweet peppers
Courgette
Squash
Peas
Oregano
Aubergine
Beef tomato
Plum tomato
Cucumber
Sunflowers- 2 varieties

I was brutal with some of my parsnip pots and tipped them out to see if the seed has germinated…. and guess what they have. So fingers crossed I’ll have some tasty parsnips to see me through autumn and winter.

I also gave my bench a quick coat of green paint and tidied the shed…AGAIN.
