Today’s visit to the allotment. I love this time of year, everything is growing nicely. Broad beans are well on the way as well as the peas I put in last week. The tomatoes, sunflowers and kale are looking really healthy. Still not certain if the aubergine seedling is actually an aubergine. My leeks are getting bigger and will need planting out soon. I also planted some moe cauliflower and spinach seed.

Berwick Upon Tweed Allotments. I must say these are the prettiest allotments I have seen so far on my adventures. I first came across them a couple of years ago when me and my dad visited Berwick for a walking trip. Seeing them in the spring was great and the soil looks amazing. A lot of hard work has gone into these plots and I’m sure there will be some super tasty fruit and veg.

Woooo I’ve been given a greenhouse. One of the other plot holders had one in his garden at home and wanted rid of it. We actually carried it through the village- that was something I never thought I’d do. We are going to finish it off on Sunday ready for me to plant in on Monday/Tuesday next week. I’ve taken up two of my 4ft square beds to make room for it. Can’t wait to grow some tomatoes. Planted the first row of broad beans and dug over some more beds. It’s been a really productive week down at the plot, we have managed to give it a good sort out all ready to go.

Hello tumblr, it’s been a while. Started on my allotment today. I’ve laid new bark paths and covered the two large beds. My dad helped me with it. It was really nice spending some time with him. The plot looks tidier already. Now I have to decide what I’m planting. I’m on a day off from work on Tuesday so fingers crossed the weather is fine.
